Mango Panna Cotta Recipe | Mango Recipes

Everyone enjoyed the Mango Icecream recipe, which I posted few weeks back. During the mango season, I tried one other recipe with mango and it was a huge hit in my home. Yes, it is the Panna Cotta. Jany loved it to the core. This is very simple and it is a no fail recipe. Even the beginners will get it perfectly. Let's go to the preparation steps:

Ingredients:
Mango - 2 Big Sized(I used Banganapalli)
Whipping cream - 1 cup
Sugar - 1/2 Cup
Gelatin - 2 tbsp
Milk - 1/4 cup(For cream layer)
Water -1/4 cup(For Mango layer)

Method:
1. Peel the skin of the mangoes and slice it into pieces. Grind it smoothly. In a bowl, add 1/4 cup water and sprinkle 1 tbsp of gelatin and allow it to rest for 5 mins.
2. In a pan, add the mango puree and 1/4 cup sugar, stir well until the sugar dissolves. Then add the gelatin mixture into it and heat it in low flame and switch off. Don't allow it to boil. Strain the mixture to remove lumps.
3. Divide the mango mixture and pour it into glasses and allow it to set in the refrigerator for around one hour. Similarly in 1/4 cup milk sprinkle the remaining 1 tbsp gelatin on top of it. Allow it to rest for 5 mins.
4.  In a pan, add the whipped cream and 1/4 cup sugar, stir well until the sugar dissolves. Then add the gelatin mixture into it and heat it in low flame and switch off. Pour the cream mixture on top of the already set mango mixture and allow it to set in refrigerator for another 2 hours.
Serve it by adding cubed mango pieces on top of it. Kids will enjoy this mango treat like icecreams.
Points to remember:
  • Instead of gelatin, you can use agar agar or china grass.
  • If you don't want layers, you can mix the mango puree mixture and cream mixture, then set it in refrigerator.
  • If you don't get whipped cream, you can use fresh cream(sour cream). Increase the amount of sugar.

Warm Regards,
