As we say farewell to 2024 and embrace the arrival of 2025, I just wanted to take a moment to wish you all a Happy New Year! 🥂✨
This past year, I didn’t manage to write any blog posts—until this very moment! But, as tradition goes, I couldn’t let the year end without sharing at least one recipe. I've been posting every year since 2013, and I wasn’t about to break that streak in 2024! Even though life got busy, I’m excited to share this quick, simple recipe with you all just in time to ring in the new year.
Looking ahead, I’m hopeful that 2025 will bring more time and inspiration for delicious posts, new recipes, and all things food! 🍽️
Wishing you all a fantastic 2025 filled with love, laughter, and plenty of sweet moments! ✨ Now, let’s dig into these indulgent Chocolate-Covered Strawberries in Cups and celebrate the start of a brand new year! 🍓🍫
Ingredients:Fresh Strawberries - 250 grams (about 12-15 depending on size)
Milk Chocolate - 200 grams
Method:
1. Wash the strawberries gently and pat them dry with paper towels or a clean kitchen towel. I prefer to cut off the green tops. Break the milk chocolate into small pieces and place them in a heatproof bowl. Set the bowl over a pot of simmering water (but ensure the bowl doesn't touch the water).
2. Stir occasionally until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth. Choose small dessert cups, mason jars, or glasses to serve the strawberries in. Place few whole strawberries into each cup, depending on the size of your cups. Pour the melted chocolate over the strawberries in each cup, ensuring the chocolate covers them well and letting it drip down the sides a little.
Dig right in! There's no need to let the chocolate set—just grab a spoon or fork and enjoy your delicious, indulgent chocolate-covered strawberries straight away!
Points to remember:
- You can melt the chocolate in the microwave in 20-30 second intervals, stirring in between until smooth.
- If you prefer, you can refrigerate the cups for 5-10 minutes before serving.
- Feel free to use any preferred type of chocolate, whether dark, milk, or white chocolate.
