Cauliflower is one of the vegetables most of us love to have. When I get cauliflower, I usually make Manchurian or cauliflower dosa. Once Jany told me, he likes cauliflower when his mom makes it. So I asked my mom-in law about the recipe and tried it. It was too good and I thought of sharing it with you all. It is so simple and easy to make with only 2 main ingredients in hand. Jany is crazy about this egg dipped fried cauliflower and I started making it once in a while.
Ingredients:Cauliflower - 10 to 15 florets
Egg - 2
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Pepper powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - as required
Oil - 2 tbsp
Method:
1. Rinse cauliflower head under water to remove dirt. Cut the cauliflower florets from the center leaving short stalks. Boil the Cauliflower in water for 3 mins by adding little salt and turmeric powder. (Let the cauliflower be firm, don't overcook). Drain the water and keep it aside.
2. Meanwhile beat the Egg with little pepper powder and salt.
3. Dip the boiled cauliflower florets in the egg and shallow fry in a pan by adding 2 tbsp of oil. When the bottom turns golden brown, flip and cook the other side. While cooking the other side, pour the remaining egg in the free spaces and allow it to cook.
The cauliflower fry dipped in eggs can be served with any main dish of your choice. It goes well with steamed rice and Rasam or Sambhar.
Points to remember:

Points to remember:
- Make sure the entire florets is covered with egg mixture.
- You can also deep fry if you prefer it. Initially, I was completely deep frying. But it drinks more oil and hence I am shallow frying it these days with a little oil.
- You can also use corn flour for this recipe. If using cornflour, dip the florets in egg and then roll in corn flour before frying. You can also sprinkle paprika.
