Eid Mubarak to all my friends and their families. Hope everyone is enjoying the long weekend!!! I am not ready with any Ramzan special dishes this year. Hopefully, by next year you can find a list of dishes. So this year to celebrate this great day, at least I wanted to share a Chicken Recipe. This is a pretty simple recipe and it can be had as a starter or side dish along with Noodles, Fried rice or Roti. The honey glazed fried chicken pieces when mixed with the Spicy Tangy sauce tastes Yummy!!
Ingredients:Boneless Chicken - 250 grams
Honey - 2 tbsp
For the Tangy-Spicy sauce:
Tomato - 1 large or 2 Small
Coriander Powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
To Marinate:
Corn flour - 2 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - as required
Lemon - 1/2
Method:
1. Cut the boneless chicken into small pieces. Marinate the Chicken with corn flour, chilli powder, turmeric powder, salt and lemon juice. Leave it aside for 15 to 20 mins.
2. Meanwhile, puree the tomato. Then fry the marinated chicken with enough oil and remove it when 3/4th of the chicken is cooked. Don't fry till it turns harder, just remove when it is soft. Drain it in tissue paper.
3. To prepare the sauce, in a separate pan, add some oil.( If you fry the chicken with less oil, then you can use the leftover oil completely). Then add the pureed tomato, ginger garlic paste and saute it until the raw smell of the tomato goes off.
2. Meanwhile, puree the tomato. Then fry the marinated chicken with enough oil and remove it when 3/4th of the chicken is cooked. Don't fry till it turns harder, just remove when it is soft. Drain it in tissue paper.
4. Then add the coriander powder and remaining chilli powder. Stir it with the tomato sauce for few mins and add the fried chicken into it. Mix everything together, cover and cook for few mins. Then add the honey and switch off the flame after giving a quick stir.
The Spicy, Tangy and Sweet chicken is ready to be served and it goes well with Roti, Fried rice and Noodles. Serve it hot. I garnished it with sesame seeds and coriander leaves.

- It tastes better if you add chilli powder little more than you use for other chicken recipes Since we are adding tomato and honey to it.
- Switch off the flame immediately after adding honey and make sure it is well coated with chicken pieces.
- You can also add onion if you really prefer it.
