Mango Icecream Recipe| Summer Special

The weekend is here! Hurray! As soon as I left office today, I decided to do a post tonight. Also, I wanted to post at least one mango recipe before the mango season ends. Word's can't describe my love for Mangoes, even Happy loves it. Last weekend I made this ice cream and we enjoyed this for the whole week. Homemade mango ice cream is very simple with very few ingredients and also, it does not require an ice cream maker. It is a no fail recipe. Let's go for the recipe:
Ingredients:
Mango - 2 (I used Banganapalli variety)
Whipping Cream - 1 Cup
Milk - 1/2 Cup
Sugar - 1/2 Cup
Method:
1. Slice the mango into medium sized pieces after removing the skin. Then blend it in the blender.
2. Along with this blend the sugar and milk until the sugar gets dissolved. Now add the whipping cream and whip it for few mins.
3. Transfer it to a freezer safe airtight box and freeze it for an hour. After each one hour, take it out and blend it until smooth. Continue this process for 2 to 3 times. Then freeze it overnight or freeze it for 8 to 10 hours before you serve.
Enjoy the yummy icecream with fruits, nuts or tutti fruits. I served it by sprinkling choco chips.
Points to remember:
  • Blending the ice cream after every one hour makes the ice cream soft and smooth. It breaks the crystal texture of the ice cream. This is the key trick to get perfect smooth ice cream
  • Reduce or increase the sugar as per your taste.
  • If you could not find whipping cream, replace it with normal fresh cream and increase the quantity of sugar.
Warm Regards,
