I am not really sure why I'm starting a food blog in the world where thousands of food blog exists. I am a regular visitor of food blogs and they all seem to have a great database of recipes. So even I wanted to record the recipes I learned for my loved ones. And here comes my first post which is specially for kids.
Ingredients:
All Purpose Flour(Maida) - 1 cup
Icing Sugar(Powdered Sugar) - 1/4 cup
Butter- 1/2 cup (Room Temperature)
Water - 2 tbsp
Vanilla Essence- 1 tbsp
For the Puppy Face:
Chocolate Vermicelli (Chocolate Strands)
Chocolate Chips
Method:Chocolate Cereal (Kelloggs Chocos)
1. Mix together flour, sugar and butter in a bowl. It will be crumbly.
2. To make it smoother, add 2 tbsp of water and knead the dough. While kneading add the vanilla essence also. Rest the dough for 10 mins. Now make 10 to 15 small round balls. Place them on the greased baking tray.
3. To make it more interesting for kids, we can give each cookie a puppy face as shown below. For this use Chocolate chip for nose, chocolate strands for eyes and 2 piece of kelloggs chocos for ears.
4. Now the cookies are ready to be baked. Bake it in a preheated oven @ 170 degree C for 20-25 mins. The cookies are done when it is golden brown.
Serve on the same day of baking for better crunchiness of the cookies. They can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days :)
