I had a great weekend, I tried some yummy recipes with Jack Fruit which Appa got it from hometown. I will be posting this as a part of Onam Sadya recipes. Also, I attended baking class by Chef Joe Francis in Gateway International Hotel. It was a nice experience, I enjoyed and learned some techniques in baking. Coming to today's recipe, this chicken balls is one of the recent chicken recipes, which is a huge hit in my home. Everyone including Happy enjoys it to the core. This is the recipe from my team mate Shobana. Once she prepared and brought it to office, it was yummy. I got the recipe from her and tried it the next weekend. Nowadays I make it often. Here, we go for the preparation steps:
Ingredients:Boneless Chicken - 250 grams
Coconut - 1/4 Cup(grated)
Shallots -15
Ginger garlic paste - 1/2 tsp
Roasted Gram(Pottukadalai) - 1/8 Cup
Coriander leaves & Mint leaves - 1/4 Cup
Dry Red Chilli - 3
Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
Salt - as required
Method:
1. Cut the boneless chicken into small pieces and grind it in the mixie. Leave it aside in a wide bowl. Now grind the fried gram, fennel seeds and dry red chilli. Along with this grind the coconut, small onion, coriander leaves and mint leaves.

2. Now mix the ground chicken and the coconut mixture. Make it into medium sized balls. I made it into oval shaped balls.
3. Heat oil in a kadai. Once it is hot, fry the chicken balls in medium flame. Once it is cooked, drain it in tissue paper to remove excess oil.

2. Now mix the ground chicken and the coconut mixture. Make it into medium sized balls. I made it into oval shaped balls.
Serve the yummy chicken balls as a starter. Kids will love it and can be enjoyed with evening coffee.
Points to remember:
Points to remember:
- Increase the amount of dry red chilli if you want it to be bit spicy. I have used only three dry red chilli since Happy can't have if it is very spicy.
- You can get kheema chicken(Kothu kari) from shop, instead of grinding the chicken.
