Mango Salsa Recipe | Mango & Mint Salsa | Mango Salsa with corn chips

Mango salsa is versatile and makes a perfect appetizer, side dish or condiment for get-togethers. We just pick a pack of corn chips from the supermarket and carry this homemade mango salsa for a picnic in the park. If the mango is not in season, I make it with any available fruits and we all love it. This recipe is quick and easy to make, and always so fresh and delicious. We are almost at the end of mango season here in Australia, so thought of sharing this recipe before the season ends. Do check out my other mango recipes in the below links:

Mango Lassi Recipe | How to make Mango Lassi | Mango Recipes

I am back to the blog after a long time and the break was not intentional. I was a bit occupied with my personal things and I was really lazy to post something here. When people started to ask about my absence from the blog, I realised the long break. I sincerely thank each one of you who personally messaged, emailed and rang me to ask about the break. Hope everyone in India is relishing the delicious and juicy mangoes. In my part of the world (Sydney), we are entering the winter season and mangoes are not in season. In Australia, we get mangoes in December.  However, I have few mango recipes in drafts from the last season and I thought of posting it now. Let us move on to the recipe. Do check out my other Mango recipes from the blog:

Mango Shrikhand Recipe | Amrakhand | Mango Recipes | Mango Flavored Yoghurt

Today is a special day for me, yes, it is both my birthday and my dad's birthday. Though we both miss mum on this day, we know she is always with us and she is our strength. The day went well with a lot of blessings and wishes from the family and friends. To celebrate this day, I am sharing a recipe with my favourite fruit mango. Shrikhand is a yoghurt based thick dessert which can be made with any fruit. Mango (Aam) Shrikhand is called as Amrakhand and it is usually served along with Poori or as a dessert. I would relate this to the flavoured yoghurt which we get in tubs.  The Shrikhand is made using hung yoghurt/curd and unlike Mango lassi it is thick. Let us move on to the recipe and do check out my other Mango recipes too:

Aamras Recipe | Aamras Poori | How to make Aamras for Poori

Aamras is a popular dessert or sweet in North India and it is usually paired with Poori.  I know, it is an unusual combination for South Indians since we always prefer potato masala(Poori Masala) along with poori. However, we can try this yum combo once in a while and kids will love this for sure. This is a very simple recipe, where the pureed mango is sweetened with sugar and flavoured with cardamom or saffron. Though it is not mango season here in Sydney, we can always see some variety of mangoes in the shops. Mango is one of my favourite fruits and hence I grab it once in a while. Last month when Jany had team lunch, I was very lazy to cook something elaborate for Happy and me. So, I made this simple Aamras poori for us and clicked it too :). Let us see the method of preparation:
